Student Vote is an authentic learning program that provides students with the opportunity to experience the voting process firsthand and practice the habits of active and informed citizenship. Our grade six students voted for the official election candidates running in their school's electoral division. Members of the town council came to help the students with the voting process. Here are the voting results:
Carla Evers (Solidarity Movement of Alberta): 2.5%
Juliet Franklin (Alberta NDP): 24.5%
Nate Horner (United Conservative Party): 64%
Shannon Packman (The Independence Party of Alberta): 2.5%
Hannah Stretch Viens (Wildrose Loyalty Coalition): 6.5%
